Hi - I'm Ms. O'Brien! I graduated with a B.S. in Family and Consumer Science Education, and a minor in Food and Nutrition from Meredith College in Raleigh, North Carolina. I have taught child nutrition education and cooking classes for the Expanded Food & Nutrition Education Program and served on the leadership team for Campus Kitchens Project, where I taught nutrition education lessons, oversaw meal preparation, led volunteer shifts, and raised awareness about community food insecurity. I am excited to be starting my seventh year teaching. I teach Foods & Nutrition 1, Honors Food Science, and Culinary Arts & Hospitality I and advise our career and technical student organization - Future Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA). Outside of school I love to cook/bake (of course!), try new restaurants, read, hike, travel and spend time with my dog Ruby.
